Heptagon Systems announces the availability of the HQ-Box server

MELBOURNE, Vic. Australia, 2017.May.4 – Heptagon Systems has been shipping their HQ-Box embedded server to selected customers since February 2017. Following a successful deployment, the HQ-Box server is now publicly available for sale.

“The HQ-BOX – a Xeon-D®-based compact fanless industrial server – has been in development since 2016″, said Stas Lapchev, VP of R&D. “The HQ-Box has passed vigorous tests in our labs and by our demanding beta clients. We are very pleased with the product performance and customer feedback.”

The HQ-Box series is a first of its kind with unique capabilities no other embedded fanless server offers. Among them is the ability to connect six NVMe PCIe SSD, enabling six times faster performance compared to that of SATA drives. The Storage subsystems has up to four bays of U.2 2.5″ type of SSD, allowing ultra fast storage with capacities of 36TB and more.
Another first of the HQ-Box is its ability to use the 65W high-end Xeon-D CPU, enabling Heptagon Systems to offer the highest performing Xeon-D server in the market.
